MSc International Human Resource Management

Dear Class of 2025/26,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the MSc International Human Resource Management (IHRM) programme at the University of Edinburgh Business School. I am looking forward to meeting you all and working with you closely in the coming year.

This programme will offer you a range of compulsory and option courses specifically designed to enhance your critical understanding of key people management and international HRM policies and practices. Since this is a CIPD-accredited programme, we also place a lot of emphasis on developing practical skills essential for a HR professional. This has never been more important than in today's increasingly globalised world of work, shaped by the global challenges and socio-political tensions.

The curriculum for IHRM programme is designed and delivered by a group of renowned academics who undertake world-class research across a wide range of disciplines, with a particular emphasis on international perspectives. Our courses feature innovative elements such as research-informed teaching and opportunities for interaction with HR practitioners and experts. You are also joining a vibrant community of students and staff at the Business School, as well as the University of Edinburgh.
